We are looking for a Construction Safety Manager to assist on multiple CapEx projects in development and forecasted at site. This opportunity is a junior-mid level role that will manage and enhance construction safety execution processes at Procter & Gamble's St. Louis, Missouri manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will work internally alongside the existing project management and 3rd party construction partners. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills as the successful candidate will be the face of construction safety and execution to the broader manufacturing team.

Job Qualifications

Key qualifications this role will include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Occupational Safety related degrees.

  • 2-5 years of experience in construction management and/or safety of large, complex projects involving large-scale civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes; as well as processes and production equipment. Experience will include managing construction safety plans and processes, change control, managing safety personnel and commissioning activities.

  • Strong knowledge of construction safety practices with a minimum of OSHA 30-hour certification

  • Experience with managing safe crane work, complex rigging and lifting and material flow.

  • Ability to be actively engaged 100% of time to work with field safety officers and active construction work.

  • Ability to manage several project executions simultaneously and coordinate activities to generate best value execution strategies

  • Ability to build construction safety capability of new team resources and able to lead a team of several field construction officers

  • Ability to lead/participate in daily direction setting meetings and communicate plan to a larger audience not versed in construction

  • Ability to interpret a construction plan and identify the impacts that plan may have on an ongoing production environment

  • Experience with Lean IPD project execution strategy is a plus

  • Experience interfacing early in the design process to provide construction safety perspective reviews in engineering design

  • Experience with other construction technologies; Field use of Drones, Robots, Laser Scanning. Last Planner, Virtual Design Coordination and Big Rooms used in Lean IPD
