Job Description

The Senior Scientist for our Test Stand Development Center (TSDC) will help design & develop bath tissue products for our Charmin, Puffs, and Bounty brands that deliver a disruptive consumer experience. Has broad project responsibilities to co-create and influence the strategic direction of the research work to be done. This role incorporates material formulation, a strong background in product surface chemistry application and material compatibility. Strong candidates are resourceful collaborators and can work seamlessly within a multifunctional team. Initiates, leads, and still performs hands-on technology/capability/method development in order to deliver key technical breakthroughs. Explore and prototype bath tissue with different Family Care products for platform potential and breath of our technology.

Utilizing process development work to redefine product categories and new spaces for the business, to help grow and innovate the product pipeline full scale manufacturing processes.

Job Responsabilities

  • Serial innovator. Constructively disrupt and serve as innovation instigator to design new and better chemistry technologies and techniques that transform current paper products into irresistible prototypes

  • Apply technical knowledge to creatively find unique ways of solving challenging chemistry compatibility problems

  • Lead or proactively participate and contribute to diverse technical community of practice group. Become a known resource and/or expert on one or mulitple formulation techniques and applications

  • Ability to knowledge share ideas and developments orally and written. Possess effective business writing and creation of technical summaries and be comfortable presenting work to technical and commercial multifunction team partners

  • Able to readily to identify, connect, leverage and grow connections with resources within and beyond immediate work groups.

  • Natural willingness to flow to the work across a lean/dynamic organization

Job Qualifications

Required

  • Masters Degree in Chemistry, Science, or relevant field

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in combination of research fields including formulation, materials, prototyping, and experience in a lab environment.

Preferred

  • PhD in Chemistry, Science or relevant field
