Regional Regulatory Affairs Director

Managerial full-time position

Start date: as soon as possible

Work schedule: Flexible working hours

Profile: Minimum of 10 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the pharmaceutical, OTC industries, with a focus on the Latin American region.

As a Regulatory Manager, your role will be to develop assessments and strategies in support of current business and new product initiatives. You will guide and accelerate P&G business by ensuring our ingredients, products and packages are safe and in regulatory compliance.

Responsible for the robust development and delivery of projects or related program activities, by engaging with multi-functional partners to ensure consumer delight that positively impacts business needs and schedule. Responsible for the organization management, training, and development of the employees in the section, with emphasis on enabling and encouraging deep technical rigor and mastery.

Scope of the role:

  • Develop regulatory strategies and implementation plans for the preparation and submission of new initiatives according to critical path schedule.

  • Negotiate and influence effectively in regulatory matters with authorities and trade associations to ensure commercialization of consumer products and upstream initiatives / technologies.

  • Provide clear regulatory guidelines regarding local regulatory environment.

  • Provide responses to regulatory agencies regarding product information or issues.

  • Review all regulatory agency submission materials to ensure timeliness, accuracy, comprehensiveness, or compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Work with regional teams to ensure efficient and timely approval of new products; and continued Regulatory support of marketed products.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or any other scientific discipline;

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the pharmaceutical, OTC industries, with a focus on the Latin American region.

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines in Latin American countries, including but not limited to Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Centro America.

  • Proven track record of successful product registrations and approvals in Latin America.

  • Experience in leading regulatory interactions with health authorities.

  • Excellent understanding of the drug development process, including CMC/CTD.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
