Overview of the job

We are looking for an energetic person to join our Consumer Research lab in India, to be based in Mumbai. This lab is focused on getting deep understanding of Indian consumer that will help us design the right innovations and product propositions to delight the consumer. This role will provide a great opportunity for an individual looking to impact innovation programs across multiple categories via helping define and accelerate consumer research capabilities and tools. The person in this role will work closely with the different category R&D and Product Researcher community and coach/help on research tools, guide on study design and planning and execute with quality consumer research studies. He/She must operate with discipline, be organized, and collaborate effectively with the internal and external partners. The role also entails working and helping transform the way we work into the future via driving adoption of digital tools, more efficient systems etc., setting up and executing the study. We also would look for the person to setup and execute studies for fundamental Habits & Practices/behavioral understanding and measurement. It requires the person to have quickly learn various tools and engage with external partners in executing consumer research with high quality and help in collating consumer data, H&P data, synthesize x-category data/learnings etc., So, an ideal candidate would be someone who has a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in science or engineering OR consumer/behavioral Science/Market research and analytics or related fields. Prior experience working in any adjacent/ related fields like food, fine fragrances / FMCG industry that involves consumer testing and data analytics is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

This will include the day-to-day preparation and execution of consumer research study like recruitment, placement etc., Onboards to the range of systems including data analysis, and other R&D systems and become knowledgeable in the requirements for Data Privacy, external agency and panel management, consumer study placement, logistics etc., as well as proper documentation of work.

  • Provide requestors with study design options and coaching on available tools within existing capabilities.

  • Lead the consumer method implementation to enable more relevant insights from studies being requested.

  • Finalize study plans so the aligned designs include all needed information to execute studies require no changes/rework.

  • Provide oversight to quality study recruitment, governance, data collection and integrity of results.

  • Coordinate with research agencies for excellence in execution in field.

  • Digital research support by working with R&D community to reduce barriers to accessing online tools

  • Supporting management and daily operations of in-context facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s OR master’s degree in engineering, Science, or related fields.

  • Minimum 2-5 years' related experience in CPG or field of Market/Product research preferred.

  • Strong ownership & self-leadership to understand the business objective, local context, and business landscape to deliver the required outcomes.

  • Adequate oral and written communication skills in English for common business are a must.

  • Able to work independently, prioritize and perform in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and uses data to connect multiple ideas and develop solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with people from different cultures and levels, both internally and externally.

  • Able to join the company by May/June 2024.
