YOUR ROLE

From Day 1, with us you will:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with German regulations (e.g., Arbeitsschutzgesetz, DGUV regulations) and P&G’s corporate requirements.

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and enforce preventative measures to minimize workplace hazards.

  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes, handle workers' compensation claims, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Regularly review and update safety protocols and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory changes.

  • Develop and implement robust environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and P&G’s corporate requirements.

  • Monitor and manage waste disposal, recycling, promote and lead environmental impact reduction initiatives and conduct regular audits and inspections ensuring all operations meet sustainability goals.

  • Design, develop and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for new and existing employees and promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness throughout the organization.

  • Develop and implement effective emergency response plans and procedures.

  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to HSE team members and other staff.

  • Develop and implement strategic HSE plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, management, regulatory bodies, and local communities.

  • Act as a key point of contact for HSE matters, providing expert advice and support.

Job Qualifications

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of German HSE regulations and standards.

  • Strong understanding of HSE management systems, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.

  • Ability to influence, engage, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management software.

  • Fluent language skills in English and German are a must.
