Current open roles for Zonal Sales Manager is for 3 different location Delhi, Ranchi and South India region.

Overview of the job

Zonal Sales Manager provides leadership and direction at a Zonal level to achieve company objectives, meet customer needs, and foster team development. This role is responsible for leading the execution of business strategies to achieve sales objectives within a specific zone. Responsible for leading, coaching, developing, directing, and managing activities of Area Sales Managers within the Zonal assignment to achieve sales results and also helping Cluster Head to drive overall Cluster objectives and achieve business results.

Your team

This role is a part of the Sales Team, reporting to the Cluster CEO and will be leading the respective zone end to end.

How success looks like

Functional performance - Leading the team of Area Sales Managers and develop sales operation plans in alignment with Cluster Head. Managing the Zone to ensure the achievement of sales targets. Create awareness of products, conduct training and seminars for customers and sales team.

Revenue and profits - Analyzing and assessing sales potential of their areas based on proper doctor profiles & market details.

Time-based performance - Ensure that the team updates and upgrades doctor profiles regularly. Spend more than 80% time in customer facing selling. Implement and track performance management process.

Employee growth - . Appraising and selecting Area Sales Managers in case of vacancies. Training, coaching and counseling the team. Develop and maintain relations with key customers.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Interaction with Cross Functional teams, where necessary to ensure smooth operations.

  • Identifying and solving sales related issues of wholesalers within the zone.

  • Conducting regular reviews with ASMs to check on performance of the ASMs and their teams.

  • Setting clear objectives for the team and making sure that objectives are clearly understood and complied to. Meeting the topline objectives set for the zone.

  • Setting targets in coordination with Cluster Head according to area / territory sales potential. Ensuring that team members implement promotional strategies and marketing activities in the zone.

  • Making sure that all subordinates are effectively motivated and at the right level of competence. Making sure that everyone within the team is equipped to do the job, e.g. Territories are not vacant, action plans studied, understood, trained, etc. Implement / maintain system to follow up on secondary sales.

Job Qualifications

Role Requirements

Relevant experience in Pharma Selling with 5-6 years of Managerial Experience.

Science or Pharma graduate preferred. MBA would be an added advantage.

Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills. Established track record in effective leadership which includes people development. Should have good networking capabilities and be willing to travel extensively throughout their specified region. Also, should possess analytical skill, business orientation, resource allocation, cross functional communication.
