JOB DESCRIPTION

HS&E Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health, safety, and environmental programs within the organization. You will ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards while promoting a strong safety culture. You will work closely with management and employees to identify and mitigate risks, conduct training, and drive continuous improvement in HS&E performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement HS&E policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement.

  • Evaluate workplace processes, equipment, and facilities to identify and implement appropriate safety measures.

  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HS&E matters, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.

  • Develop and deliver HS&E training programs to enhance employee awareness and promote safe work practices.

  • Investigate and report on workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Maintain records and documentation related to HS&E activities, including incident reports, training records, and permits.

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant regulations and industry best practices and ensure timely updates to policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address HS&E concerns in new projects, process changes, and facility expansions.

  • Participate in emergency response planning and drills, ensuring readiness for potential incidents.

Job Qualifications

EXPECTATIONS

  • You have Bsc or Msc degree in engineering

  • 3-5 years’ experience in relevant field

  • Your English and Hungarian language skills are at a level capable of communication, both in writing and orally

  • You have strong leadership and excellent communication skills

  • Characterized by good problem-solving skills, systems approach, process orientation, analytical thinking, growth mindset and detailed oriented, precise,

  • You are open and motivated to acquire new knowledge as an engineer in Health and Safety field

    ADVANTAGES

  • Trained as Specialized safety engineer or technician

  • Trained fire protection lecturer, who gained relevant experience in fire protection in a manufacturing environment
